War Horse on track for 500th booker for captioned performances
The National Theatre’s award-winning production of War Horse has played to packed houses since its premiere in 2007 in the Olivier Theatre, and now at the New London Theatre in the West End. STAGETEXT has captioned 8 performances so far, all of which have proved very popular. The ninth captioned performance will be on 27 November 2010 when the 500th captioned ticket for the production will be sold.

Happy Birthday, STAGETEXT!
It’s 17 May 2010, and today marks the 10th anniversary of the birth of our charity, STAGETEXT.
And what a long way we’ve come since then: with 9 shows in five venues in our first year, to more than 200 STAGETEXT captioned performances in over 75 venues in 2009/10, not to mention around 40 other theatres across the country that now provide a regular in-house captioning service, which brings the overall number of shows a year to well over 500.
